Last night I played some action soccer with my brolaw and his colleagues. It’s the third time playing with these guys and it is always such a blast, but after last night I realised how risky this game really is.
It is way more fun than a one hour cardio session in the gym, but I took a couple painful falls, twisted my ankle and by far the scariest bit of all, the constant turning and the kicking of the ball places huge strain on my right knee.
My legs are super stiff this morning, but its nothing compared to the previous two games where post match I could barely walk. I can also feel myself getting a lot fitter which is awesome. I am just hoping my ankle and knee feels stronger by Friday so I can take a pre-race run before attempting to run Ballito.
